Little bits of life....

Life has been very busy of late with Christmas coming in 10 days. WOW. I must be getting old, as I wish that  it weren't almost here (sighs). So much to get done, yet so little time to do it. I'll probably be awake until three in the morning trying to get presents finished, but, as long as their done in time, that doesn't matter.

Meg and I did get our Op. Gratitude package sent off (yes, I finished the knitted scarf in time). That was such a load off my mind.

Narnia, its all in the wardrobe like I told you!

Connor is such a little goof-ball (bet you couldn't guess!).
He is always making funny faces. It's even funny to watch him throw a tantrum (in fact, that's the best time to watch him).

Audrey, is still just as sweet as when she was born.

And then there is the cow. Poppy is getting big , and is quite cute, I must add. But other than that I can't say much about her.

Copper... is ... well... COPPER! That poor dog, I don't think you could pay someone to steal him. He is also quite the goof-ball.

'What is that?' you ask. Well, let me tell you. That is one the worlds most beautiful instruments. The Bowed Psaltery.
It slightly resembles a violin, as it is played with bows (duh),
but it sits on your lap while you play it. This particular one is a alto so it has pretty, high, silvery notes.

Somewhere...

Could you tell me the way to Somewhere-
Somewhere, somewhere,
I have heard of a place called somewhere
But know not where it be.
It makes no difference,
Whether or not
I go in dreams
or trudge on foot:
Would tell me the way to Somewhere,
The Somewhere meant for me.      ~Walter de la Mare

My Little Sister

Little Audrey is getting so big! I can't believe she is already four months old. She is a very sweet little girl, and everyone thinks she is cute (If you don't believe me, just go shopping with her so you can hear everybody remark on her cuteness). She recently discovered that, yes, there is such a thing as rolling over, and you don't have lay on your tummy like a beached whale!

She is made out of: sugar and Spice and
                                  EVERYTHING NICE

Operation Gratitude

As I mentioned in my post before,  Meg and I have been working on Op. Gratitude projects. We decided just to do scarfs and Christmas cards this year. The picture  below is the knitted scarf that I'm working on right now. I'm at the half way point and I have around three days to finish it (Yikes!!).
I started it a few months ago and all was going smoothly, until I measured it. Op. Grat. had a specified width and length. 5-7" wide and 45" long. I was pretty close to being done, when I measured the width. It wasn't even 3 1/2 inches wide!! :(

So, I started it all over.

We where thinking that we would get three scarfs sent off, because we only had yarn for three, then, we had the great idea of doing fleece scarfs (light bulb!). So, off to Jo-Ann's we went. Meg and I each bought one yard of fleece, and we got  eight scarfs out of that. Then Mom gave us a knitted scarf she had been working on, so, if Meg and I get our knitted ones finished, we'll have a total of  twelve scarfs! Yay!

We are doing one card and a tag that has the fiber content per scarf.

                                                         (Please excuse the bad picture)

There's Meg working very industrially at making tags.

I hear crickets...

Please excuse my silence of late. I have been rather busy working on  Christmas presents. Can you believe that there is only around 40 days until Christmas!!  I have been doing a lot of sewing, and I'm currently working on a scarfs and Christmas cards to send to Operation gratitude (you can check out their site at www.opgratitude.com)

Also, I have a new toy (evil chuckle)...

Well actually, it isn't quite mine, I'm just 'borrowing' it from my dad :)  Or, as I told him, It's mine when I'm using it, so I've been busy trying to figure out how to work it. I feel so professional when I use it!!!

Random Pictures...

(Yes, the picture above is supposed to be blurry) :)
