In His Time...

For a while now I have been looking for a dog. I wanted something small. Something that was hypoallergenic, that I could walk (not something that would walk me), and that could curl up with me in my bed. So, I started hunting on Craigslist for one back in January. I looked at Shih tzu's, Labradoodles, Cocker Spaniels, Maltipoo's, Havapoo's, and a bazillion other different breeds.

First, I e-mailed about a cockapoo, but they didn't answer. So I called them. She was gone.

Okay, no problem I'll keep looking.

Next I emailed about a Shih Tzu. She was gone.

"Dear God," I prayed, "if you want me to have a dog I know that you will provide one"

Then, I emailed about a Lhasa Apso, and guess what? Yep. He was gone.

I also e-mailed about a pug/Lhasa Apso mix ( I know it sounds weird but it was adorable), a Lhasa/Shih Tzu mix, a Cocker Spaniel/ Daschund mix, another Shih Tzu puppy, another Lhasa Apso, six different Yorkshire terriers, a Labradoodle. and three Goldendoodles.

All of them were gone.

What was going on?!?!

"Lord what are you doing? Am I not supposed to have a dog?"

I e-mailed about a couple more dogs, but still nothing.

Then In March, on a Saturday night at 10:10, While on Craigslist, I found an ad for two Shih Tzu/ Bichon mix puppies.

It was to late to call then, so I decided to call early the next morning.

Once I got up I went to get the phone number, but the ad was gone!!!
ARRRRGHHH!

I was getting just a smidgy discouraged by this time, when mom suggested I call anyway. So,
I went to my history on the computer, found the ad, and nervously dialed the number.

No one answered, and instead of leaving a message, I hung up. I took a deep breath and tried calling again.

Someone answered!!!
My voice wavered as I asked if they were still available.
Yes, they were!

I was so close to yelling into the phone: I'M COMING TO COME GET THEM! DON'T LET ANYONE ELSE COME!!!!

But, I restrained myself, and calmly told him that we would like to come take a look at them. Dad and I loaded up in the truck and set out on our quest.

Upon reaching our destination we were greeted with small yelps from the back yard. The Owner brought them both out and introduced them to us. Their names were Shadow & Dash. They were very playful, and both began to jump up on us, begging for attention.
Man, was it hard to choose which one we wanted to take home! So hard, in fact, that we brought both of them home!
The Lord provided not one, but two dogs. :)

We have re-homed one of them to some friends at church, and now just have Dash who we have re-named Brody.

Christ makes all things beautiful in HIS time...
